From Defence to AI: Reuters NEXT Europe Explores Europe’s Leadership in a Shifting World

On Thursday, 21 May ’26, Reuters announced the expansion of its Reuters NEXT conference series with the launch of Reuters NEXT Europe. It’s an exclusive invitation-only leadership summit scheduled to take place in London on Tuesday, 16 June ’26.

As shifting power dynamics alter geopolitics and technology evolves beyond capital, Europe’s future may depend on its ability to deliver on key priorities. From defence integration besides energy sovereignty to industrial renewal besides the rules governing artificial intelligence, it’s time for the region’s policymakers to deliver. Building on the global Reuters NEXT summits held previously in New York, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi, Reuters NEXT Europe sharpens this moment.
