Role of magnetised nanobeads in early detection of cancer

Queensland, Australia (CU)_ Researchers at Griffith University have devised a new method for detecting cancer biomarkers that could aid in the diagnosis of early-stage cancer. The research team was spearheaded by Associate Professor Muhammad Shiddiky of the Queensland Micro and Nanotechnology Centre and Professor Bernd Rehm of the Griffith Institute for Drug Discovery, and the team developed an economical and sensitive method for identifying ovarian cancer and other illness using a new class of superparamagnetic nanomaterials.
