Research to discover the impacts of nanopesticides on human health

Sydney, Australia (CU)_ Nanotechnology is used to develop smaller and more precise pesticides, which allow farmers to spray their crops with less chemicals. As a result, nanopesticides are gaining attention in the agriculture field. On the other hand, the dangers of nanopesticides on human health remain largely unclear. A new methodology developed by Kiwi and Australian academics serves as a base for analyzing these hazards and identifies areas that require more investigation.

According to Dr Melanie Kah of the University of Auckland, nanopesticides became popular among farmers over the last five years. Kah, the principal author of the study, spoke about nanopesticides and its benefits. She said, “The tiny capsules can deliver chemicals more precisely than conventional pesticides. This helps combat diseases and pests more effectively and reduce the environmental footprint of agriculture.”
