CMO ‘conscious of concerns’ as schools return after mid-term

The Chief Medical Officer of Ireland has said he is conscious of the concern that parents and guardians have about the high level of Covid-19 incidence among the 5-12 age group, as children head back to school on Monday after the mid-term break.

In a statement, Dr Tony Holohan clearly mentioned that he wanted to reassure people that the National Public Health Emergency Team is continuing to monitor the incidence of the disease and closely reviewing epidemiological data.
