NAICOM urges African governments to support insurance industry

Abuja, Nigeria (CU)_ NAICOM – The National Insurance Commission has urged all African countries to promote insurance business to boost economic growth. Sunday Thomas, the Commissioner for Insurance, who made the announcement at the industry’s annual conference, tasked Tope Smart, the newly elected president of the African Insurance Organisation (AIO), with persuading governments across the continent to provide essential support and create a positive environment for insurance business to thrive.
