Insurance Council of Australia promotes cyclone-proof houses

Sydney, Australia (CU)_ According to a recent report from the Insurance Council of Australia, all Australian properties must be cyclone-proof in order to withstand increasingly severe and southward-moving weather events caused by climate change. The council’s research identified flaws in the present national building code and its related standards, saying that all new houses must be built  to withstand tropical cyclones.
