London, United Kingdom (CU)_ A football club has formed a new partnership to progress towards a healthier and more fit society. The Bluebirds have partnered with wellbeing charity “It Starts Monday” to connect fans with resources for mental health, weight loss, health, and loneliness.

“It Starts Monday” is a campaign established in January 2021 by former Premier League player Curtis Woodhouse and four other people to assist one another in staying motivated to reduce weight while on lockdown. “It Starts Monday” has grown exponentially since then, and today includes as many as 5,000 members and 14 staff members living around the United Kingdom.

Each group receives professional advice on fitness and nutrition from dedicated personal trainers, who will provide live exercises thrice in a week in addition to weekly fitness challenges and objectives. Additionally, Bluebirds fans who sign up for “It Starts Monday” will have the opportunity to connect with existing players who will help keep you motivated and give you some challenges along the road.

Alisha Henry, General Manager of Barrow AFC, expressed delight over the partnership. She said, “This is a really exciting link-up for the Club and we’re really pleased to be working in partnership with It Starts Monday.” She added, “Mental health, fitness and general wellbeing has become an even bigger discussion throughout the pandemic with people all around the world being affected in many different ways. “It Starts Monday” will offer Barrow fans the opportunity to focus on themselves and their own wellbeing in a truly innovative way among like-minded people.”

The cost for a monthly subscription is only £15 and the members are entitled to all the benefits of group membership, as well as the knowledge that the money raised by It Starts Monday will benefit local good causes. Curtis Woodhouse stated, “The profits raised from the groups go back into the community so what we’re offering really is a double-barrelled support network”.
