Mumbai, India (CU)_ Bollywood legendary actor Aamir Khan is actively promoting his next film Laal Singh Chaddha. Moreover, Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo appearance in the film is also making headlines. During a recent interview with an international media, Mr. Khan stated that he approached SRK as he was in search of the top iconic celebrity in India. Laal Singh Chaddha is a Hindi version of the 1994 blockbuster Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks, which was directed by Robert Zemeckis.
The film was produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures in collaboration. In a clip from the interview that has gone viral, Aamir Khan spoke about SRK. He said, “Shah Rukh is a friend, and I told him that I needed someone who could represent what Elvis represented in America and is the biggest iconic star in India, which is why I’m coming to you.”
Forrest Gump follows the life of a guy (portrayed by Tom Hanks) who goes on to accomplish incredible feats in life. However, his sole objective is to be with Jenny, his childhood sweetheart. In Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan will appear with Kareena Kapoor and Mona Singh, his co-stars from the blockbuster 3 Idiots. The movie also debuts Naga Chaitanya in Bollywood.
In Laal Singh Chaddha, Kareena Kapoor plays the lead role Rupa. Recently, the actress revealed that for the first time in her career, she underwent a look test for this film. She added, “It was not ego, it was just I’d never done it before, so I was nervous. And when I told Saif, he said I think it’s really cool. You should do it. And I said ya actually what the hell! What will happen? He’ll say it didn’t work. So, it’s fine. I said it’s Aamir. And if I’d do it. It’ll be for Aamir. So, I said listen whatever it is, I am going to take the plunge and have fun with it”.
