A grim outlook for younger Australians

MELBOURNE (CU)_An inequality-focused think tank recently conducted an analysis on the lifetime cost of buying a home among different generations and found that the outlook is grim for younger generations in Australia. According to Melbourne-based research experts, which compared mortgage interest rates, home prices and wage changes, the lifetime expenditure on the median mortgage escalated by 130 per cent over two generations.
