Mumbai (Commonwealth Union)_ Director-producer Kiran Rao, a recent addition to Instagram, is actively sharing glimpses of her life on the photo-sharing app. She posted inside pictures from a recent road trip, featuring her former husband Aamir Khan and their son Azad. Among the snapshots is a heartwarming family picture where the trio, along with their dog, joyfully pose together. Kiran captioned the Instagram story as, “Road tripping with Sundari.”

In her Instagram debut a few weeks back, Kiran Rao shared a beautiful picture of herself seated in a chair adorned with a garland, donning a printed shirt and denim pants, and posing with folded hands. Sharing her first picture, she captioned it as “Hello Instagram :)”. In response, Aamir Khan’s niece, Zayn Marie, warmly welcomed Kiran to Instagram, expressing excitement with heart-eyed and red heart emojis. She penned, “Hahahhaha hiii K!! Welcoooome”. Actress Nitanshi Goel, set to feature in Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies, also extended a warm welcome saying, “Welcome mam”.

Zayn Marie also dedicated a special post to welcome Kiran Rao to Instagram, sharing pictures from Ira Khan’s wedding festivities. The images captured Zayn with her mother Tina Khan, Kiran Rao, and the bride, Ira Khan. Zayn captioned the post as, “Welcoming Kiran Rao to InstaGlam with photos from our glam Welcome Night. Love you, K. Last photo is my absolute fave,” accompanied by red rose, mirror ball, and bow and arrow emojis. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, who were married for 15 years, announced their divorce in July 2021. Despite their separation, they continue to co-parent their son Azad.
In terms of work, Laal Singh Chaddha was the last film by Aamir Khan. An adaptation of the Hollywood cult classic Forrest Gump, the film featured Academy Award-winning actor Tom Hanks in the lead role. Further, Aamir Khan is making a professional comeback with RS Prasanna’s Champions. He will reportedly spend a month filming in Delhi. Aamir Khan will assume the role of a mentor in the film Champions. Additionally, Aamir Khan will also appear in Sitaare Zameen Par and Sunny Deol’s Lahore 1947, which will be helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by the production house of Aamir Khan.
