An Indian start-up develops a low-cost, dual-powered defibrillator

Jeevtronics has already been granted four patents in the United States and India, and has previously received financial assistance from the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC). According to the start-up, SanMitra 1000 HCT is created adhering to international IEC standards for medical devices, and the cost of the patented technology is INR 99,999 plus taxes, which is much affordable than the other MNC big brands.

The company stated that it has also built the sole made-in-India ambulance-grade defibrillator known as the JeevtronicsSanMitra 1000 HCT EMS that has been evaluated at ARAI and will be priced at an economical cost compared to the cost of multinational company brands.
