Aparajita Adhya, the Bengali Actress Tests Positive For COVID-19

Kolkata, India (CWBN)_ The famous Bengali film and television actress Aparajita Adhya has tested positive for corona virus on Wednesday. According to the news from a health department official, it was confirmed that the actress along with some of her family members have contracted the virus. Currently, Aparajita and her family members are in home isolation. The health official said that the actress was unwell for the past few days and hence was advised to take a covid test. Aparajita was performing a popular Bengali cookery show Rannabanna before she tested positive. After her test results, she cancelled all her shooting schedules until the first week of November. The health official said “Aparajita Adhya and the members of her family who have contracted the virus are stable. They are in home isolation now”.

The actress is popular in Bengali movies and television shows. She has featured in lead roles in several Bengali movies such as Ke Tumi Nandini, Mukherjee Dar Bou, Haami, Oskar, Projapoti Biskut, Samantaral, Praktan, Bela Seshe, Goynar Baksho and Madly Bangalee. The actress has also featured in numerous television shows such as Gaaner Oparey, Adwitiya, Kanakanjali, Maa….Tomay Chara Ghum Ashena, Jol Nupur, Chokher Tara Tui, Sanyashi Raja and Rannaghor.

With the virus spreading fast in the country, many celebrities are being tested positive for the virus. The veteran Bengali actor Soumitra Chatterjee is also battling against the corona virus. The actor is 85 years old and tested positive on October 5. Currently he is under the treatment at a hospital in Kolkata. The actor is put on a ventilator support and also was given dialysis treatment to tackle his renal function.

Many other prominent stars of Bollywood such as Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Genelia D’Souza and Prithviraj Sukumaran had also tested positive for the virus.
