He allegedly stated that he would make everyone proud of him, abstain from misconduct, and work to assist the underprivileged and disadvantaged.
When questioned about Aryan Khan, Mr Wankhede told the media about the general counselling being given to the detained candidates. He said, “We counsel every arrested accused and it is done for two to three hour daily during custody”. Mr Wankhede said that the counselling sessions feature priests from several religions as well as social professionals specializing in drug prevention. He said, “The accused are given the Gita, Quran or Bible based on their faith”.
According to jail authorities, anyone detained in jail is permitted to make two calls each week due to the prevailing Covid situation. After his bail hearing was postponed until this week, Aryan Khan contacted his parents, SRK and Gauri Khan, through video chat on Friday. A jail official spoke about Aryan’s phone conversation with his parents. He said, “Aryan was on the call for 10 minutes with his parents, and a jail official was present with him during the call”.
Twenty members, including two Nigerian citizens, have been detained in connection with the investigation thus far. Aryan Khan’s attorneys have contended in court that no narcotics were discovered on him and that he was not there during the search when drugs were recovered. The NCB, on the other hand, claims that the celebrity son’s WhatsApp communications indicate his ties to an international cartel and his frequent drug sourcing.
