George V Nereamparambil, now famously dubbed the king of Burj Khalifa, owns an impressive 22 luxury apartments within this towering complex. His journey from an 11-year-old mechanic in Kerala, India, to becoming the largest property owner in the world’s most opulent residential building is truly remarkable. In 1976, George made the bold decision to move to Sharjah in search of better prospects. It was in this rapidly growing Gulf city that he spotted an emerging industry, air conditioning. The harsh desert heat in the UAE presented an untapped opportunity for air conditioning services. George capitalized on this demand, founding a company that would later evolve into the GEO Group of Companies. Over time, the company grew and solidified George’s position as a prominent figure in the Middle East business community. The turning point in George’s journey to becoming the king of Burj Khalifa came after a challenge from a relative. The relative doubted that George would ever be able to set foot in the exclusive and luxurious Burj Khalifa.

His apartments, renowned for their luxurious interiors, are said to feature gold-clad walls, ceilings, and floors.
