Brunei delegation pays a goodwill visit to Singapore and Malaysia!

Brunei (Commonwealth Union)_ The Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, as the Vice President of Brunei Islamic Religious Council together with a delegation, departed the country on a goodwill visit to Malaysia and Singapore, which will last till February 7. The ministry is conducting these visits in an attempt to refine its strategic focus on social welfare and security assurance as part of its strategic plan for 2020-2024, as well as to explore possibilities for networking and collaboration.

During the official trip, the delegation from the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and Badan Tanmiah Harta Majlis Ugama Islam (BTHMUI) will have collaboration discussions with the related agencies in Malaysia and Singapore, notably with Malaysia’s Prime Minister’s Office, as well as the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council, the Selangor Islamic Religious Council, the Pahang Islamic Religious Council, the Pahang Malay Tradition Council, and the Johor Islamic Religious Council. They will also pay a visit to the Singapore Islamic Religious Teachers and Islamic Scholars Association.

The members of the delegation are the Director of the Islamic Legal Unit, Haji Hardifadhillah bin Haji Mohd Salleh; the Acting Secretary of the Islamic Religious Council, Haji Abdul Aziz bin Haji Akop, who will be the working head; and the Head of the Administration and Meeting Division of the Brunei Islamic Religious Council, Ariffin bin Dato Paduka Haji Abu Bakar. Additionally, Dr. Haji Mohd Aidil Yusrie bin Haji Shari also joined the delegations as a member of the Focus Group for the Wakaf Empowerment Project. He is the Head of Sukuk Financing Office of the Treasury Department, Ministry of Finance and Economy.

Further, director Haji Noor Hadi bin Haji Noor Kaseh; Senior Finance Manager Siti Norhamizah binti Haji Abdul Hamid; and Investment, Trade, and Marketing Managers Siti Norhafizah binti Haji Abu Bakar and Mohammad Adika bin Mohammad Yusof will represent BTHMUI. The Deputy Permanent Secretary of the MoRA, Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, together with directors and department heads from the ministry, wished the delegation on their goodwill visit at the Brunei International Airport.
