ABUJA (CU)_Over the recent past there has been growing interest in cryptocurrencies, among investors, analysts, industry experts, as well as central banks across the globe. For instance, in April this year, British Finance Minister Rishi Sunak announced the launching of a new taskforce to explore a potential central bank digital currency. Similarly, last month, several pilot programmes were launched by The Digital Dollar Project in order to generate data that could assist US policy makers to develop a digital dollar for the first time.
