Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Konstantinidi has visited the Georgian Sunday School of St. Antimoz Iverieli in Barcelona, Spain and donated Georgian textbooks developed by the Education Ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

These donations were much needed as the school was lacking in books for the children. These donations were seen as a blessing and the schools seemed more than grateful to have received them.

Head of the school, Archimandrite Luka Palavandishvili, informed the Georgian delegation of the ongoing educational process and the Georgian Sunday School, which brings together 151 Georgian students living in Spain.

During the visit, Konstantinidi met with the teachers and parents of the school, after which Georgian folk dances and songs were performed by the students.

The students shared in the joy of receiving such a donation and entertained the ministry officials as best they could. The parents of these students also were grateful and showed the officials by partaking with them in the festivities.

The International Centre for Migration Policy Development supported the visit of the delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia to Spain.

During the visit, Konstantinidi and representatives of the Foreign Ministry also met with Georgians living in Barcelona and Alicante, as well as local government officials.
