New York, USA (CWBN)_ Google announced yesterday (10th Dec) that it would be limiting the advertisements featuring alcohol and gambling, which is stringent change in the company’s policy, but a welcoming fact for many who wish to avoid seeing such content.

The feature is only expected to limit the total number of advertisements but will not be removing them entirely. Google noted that the policy would be implemented, starting with YouTube Ads in the US, the option would be made available on Google Ads and global YouTube users in early 2021.

Forbes reported that in 2019, Google made a revenue of over USD 41 billion, particularly via its Google Adds platform. However in 2020, it is expected that its revenues will fall by about 5.3 percent to USD 39.6 billion.

Amazon is however expected to indicate a growth of 23.5 percent this year, with a total of USD 12.75 billion.

In previous changes in policy, Google provided its users the ability to limit advertisements pertaining to national laws and those targeting audiences based on their age.
