GLOBAL – It was a star-studded night for the HRF’s 15th anniversary fashion show and style awards.
Celebrities and other iconic figures dressed to kill and they slay all night. There aren’t enough words in the english language or any language really to explain how good everyone who turned up looked.
Coming in hot though was Issa Rae who pulled of a leggy display as she arrived at Harlem’s Fashion Row 15th Anniversary Fashion Show and Style Awards in New York. The Insecure star came in for the kill as she walked the red carpet giving everyone life wearing a and patterned long-sleeve mini dress with a chic mock neckline.
Issa was not only there for her beauty but also for her brains and talent. She was the first recipient of the Virgil Abloh Award, which was created in honor of the late Louis Vuitton artistic director. But sadly, Virgil passed away two years ago after a two-year battle with cancer.
There was a press release by the award show that stated the following regarding the Virgil Abloh award ‘celebrates like-minded individuals who embody Virgil’s spirit, brilliance, and vision, through invaluable contributions to culture, community, and innovation.’
Issa slayed her styling by as she styled her mini with black leather sandals whilst she rocked an orange manicure and a neon green pedicure. This gave her all neutral look a pop of colour. She let her hair flow down her set-in braids whilst her fingers were decked in sparkly jewelry.
