Nearly 155 Covid patients are currently being treated at the facility. According to the authorities, medical equipment such as oxygen generators, refillers, and ventilators will be put in the hospital in the near future in order to combat the third wave of the pandemic. During the second wave of the pandemic, the hospital also treated mucormycosis patients, using four operation theatres dedicated only for this purpose. At present, the number of mucormycosis patients has also decreased. As a result, two operating rooms will be made accessible for non-Covid and non-mucormycosis procedures. Satej Patil, the district guardian minister, has instructed the appropriate authorities to open two large public hospitals for non-Covid patients: IGM in Ichalkaranji and sub-district hospital in Gadhinglaj.
