MUMBAI, India (CWBN)_ The famous Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat seemed to have predicted Kamala Harris’s meteoric rise to power back in 2009. A decade-old tweet, which refers to Kamala Harris as the woman who “could be US President one day”, made by the actress in 2009 has been rediscovered by the Twitter users and is doing viral rounds in the internet grounds and social medias. Long before Kamala Harris scripted the history as the first-ever woman Vice President of United States, a remarkably farsighted prediction on her future has been made by the actress in 2009. When Kamala Harris was a District Attorney of San Francisco in 2009, the actress had “fun at a fancy event” with her.

Mallika Sherawat referred to Harris and wrote in her Twitter, “Having fun at a fancy event with a woman who they say could be US President, Kamala Harris. Chicks rule!” The tweet was made on June 23, 2009.

Mallika Sherawat’s remarkable foresight has left the social media in shock, where many compared her to Nostradamus and Jofra Archer, whose six-year-old tweet that simply wrote “Joe” became the talk of the town during this US presidential elections. The Twitter users are commenting on the old tweets made by the two.

In 2010, the ‘Murder’ actress also shared a picture with Harris on Facebook, where she credited her as the source of inspiration for her role in the movie ‘Politics of Love’. She wrote alongside the picture, “With Kamala Harris, attorney general of San Francisco. I was inspired by her for my role in Politics of Love…”.

The film Politics of Love was released in 2011. Mallika Sherawat played the character of an Indian-American Democratic campaign worker who fell for a Republican.

Kamala Harris is 56 now and became the first woman, the first Black woman and the first woman of Indian origin to become Vice President of the United States. This makes her qualified for the automatic frontrunner in the race for the 2024 or 2028 Democratic nomination for president.

Kamala Harris in her acceptance speech recalled her mother Shyamala Gopalan, who is an immigrant came to California as a teenager, and recognized the contribution of women “who fought and sacrificed so much for equality and justice for all”.
