SANTA BARBARA, California (CU)_Earlier this month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the birth of their daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. She was named after the Queen, who was affectionately referred to as “Lilibet” by her late husband Prince Philip. Two days after her birth, the couple announced her arrival on their Archewell website where they said: “She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe.” Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace also issued a statement saying the Queen, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are “delighted with the news”.

Since then fans have been eager to get a glimpse of the newest addition to the Royal family, although no images of baby Lili were shared. Now reports claim that the Sussexes are keeping the royals up-to-date with pictures of their newborn daughter which were shared on a WhatsApp group where extended members of the family stay in touch.

News of Harry and Meghan sharing pictures of Lilibet comes after the Duchess of Cambridge said she “can’t wait” to meet the newborn, during a visit to a school last weekend. “I wish her all the very best. I can’t wait to meet her,” she said. “We haven’t met her yet. I hope that will be soon.”

Meanwhile, Prince Harry is expected to return to the UK to mark the 60th birthday of late Princess Diana, although Meghan will not be accompanying her. He will reunite with Prince William on 1 July for the unveiling of the statue of their mother at Kensington Palace. Upon his visit, Prince Harry will be required to produce a negative COVID test before he arrives, and will have to take more when in the UK. He may also be required to quarantine for 10 days at his Frogmore Cottage home, just as he did when he returned to the UK for Prince Philip’s funeral.
