Micro Insurance Company teams up with Chamasure to digitize Kenya’s insurance industry

Chamasure provides insurance accessible to over ten million individuals in Kenya’s underprivileged areas, including farmer groups, merchants, and families. People may register for personalized, flexible coverage through an user-friendly app.

Chamasure and MIC’s new cooperation will provide end-to-end registration, coverage, and claims settlement support, eliminating consumer paperwork and expediting the insurance process. Group members will be protected against disability, burial expenditures, and medical bills through need-based insurance.

Ms Wairimu Nioki, Country Manager of MIC Kenya, expressed optimism over working with Chamasure. He said, “Communities have always come together to raise money to meet obligations that are too difficult for individuals to cover. We are now going to these communities and groups to simplify insurance for them by providing the protection that they seek when they come together. This initiative with Chamasure will see us providing more affordable insurance solutions and wider coverage, providing relief to members of these groups and consequently improving their lives.”

Seroney Memba, the founder of Chamasure, made the following remarks during the partnership’s official launch. He expressed excitement over collaborating with Micro Insurance Company and assured affordable insurance to all. He said, “Most of the people in the communities we work with have never had a chance to access insurance, despite being so vulnerable and in need of protection. We are excited to partner with Micro Insurance Company to provide these communities with more flexible, affordable products. Our motto is ‘taste insurance for everyone’, and I strongly believe this is the right partnership to achieve this.”
