England (Commonwealth Union)_ You could be interested in the production process, the technical aspect of a manufacturing function, or working with the equipment and processes that they are creating in our Product Technology Centre. Are you a big cereal fan? Then you may recognize Cereal Partners UK (CPUK), our breakfast cereal partner. Whatever route you select,  will assist you in developing the skills required for a successful profession. This is where Nestlé’s Project Opportunity enters the picture. As organizations evolve, technological skill gaps expand. For many workers, this means looking for a new or first job in a market that needs expertise above their previous training. For businesses, it implies a staff that is unprepared for the difficulties ahead. Project Opportunity aims to rebalance this equation by offering on-the-job training that builds talent from the ground up.

You’ll rotate through various elements of production, taking on different tasks with their help and supervision to master the specialized skills required for each one. You’ll make a significant contribution to the team, giving you a taste of what it’s like to truly deliver with your job. The emphasis here is always on learning by doing, but there is also an opportunity to experience student life with our learning partners in Lincoln. You’ll meet other Nestlé and Cereal Partners manufacturing apprentices from throughout the country, as well as form friendships and professional contacts that will help you advance in your career.

If you’ve decided that a Level 3 Apprenticeship is appropriate for you, you’ll require Maths and English Language GCSEs with actual or anticipated grades of 9-4 (A*-C if obtained before 2017) and plenty of passion. You may be a recent high school graduate or you may have been in a position for a few years but feel it is not allowing you to reach your full potential. Nestlé’s Apprenticeship is a terrific path into a meaningful manufacturing profession where you may satisfy your drive to accomplish more since it allows you to earn while you study.

An apprenticeship is a terrific method to get into a job with a bright future. You’ll start with a competitive pay, but you’ll also gain the abilities you’ll need to earn far larger rewards as your career advances. You’ll also be exposed to some of the world’s most well-known brands, including KitKat, Felix, Aero, Buxton, Cheerios, and Nescafé. The effort you’ll be doing here is why they’re on the shelf for everyone to enjoy. As you gain experience with an expanding range of items, you will establish a solid reputation in the manufacturing industry.

Furthermore, you will contribute to our ‘Force for Good’ project, which is all about matching the firm’s business goals with essential social duties like as environmental protection and better eating. Project Opportunity apprenticeships at industrial plants emphasize skill development through a combination of hands-on training and outside-educational study. Mt. Sterling collaborates with the neighboring Maysville Technical College, where apprentices spend three half-days each week.

Apprentices are also encouraged to form positive connections with their facility coaches and supervisors; regular check-ins and two-way feedback are encouraged. Throughout their apprenticeship program, Mt. Sterling apprentices rotate through eight different facility coaches, each one hand-picked by the facility managers for their breadth of knowledge. It’s a comprehensive approach to practical learning that’s gaining traction.

Graduation from the program does not imply obtaining a diploma and well-wishes as you go. Nestlé is focused on creating and keeping a talented workforce. They are growing people from the inside, and they are willing to recognize potential and promote from within  it will transform the way the factory is maintained and our entire approach of developing people and retaining their workforce.
