Speaking on behalf of Governor Fayemi, the EKDIPA Director General noted that another major initiative was the establishment of the Committee on Ease of Doing Business, which has streamlined the registration of deeds and the process for obtaining Governor’s consent. “It had also mainstreamed introduction of online payment of taxes, setting of minimum threshold of six high court judgements per quarter and establishment of small claim courts in Ekiti,” he added.
Among other measures initiated by the local government is the plans to set up a trade facilitation centre in Ekiti, which according to Ajibade, will make the south-western state “a destination of choice in the country in the area of business establishment and promotion”.
