Tord Stallvick, who took over as CEO last year, has been replaced as Redwheel’s new director of business development by Jane Nicolls, Abrdn’s global head of ESG client strategy. She will oversee client-facing operations, sales, marketing, and the firm’s business goals, with a particular emphasis on the commercial development of new investment teams and capabilities. CEO Tord Stallvik will get her report. Nicolls offers 20 years of institutional and wholesale asset management experience to Redwheel.

She formerly served as the global COO and the ESG head for distribution at Abrdn, where she now works. Tord Stallvick, who took over as CEO last year, has been replaced as Redwheel’s new director of business development by Jane Nicolls, Abrdn’s global head of ESG client strategy. According to LinkedIn, Nicolls spent almost a decade with JP Morgan Asset Management in London before joining the company. There, she held the positions of managing director, head of the strategy for product and marketing, and managing director, head of client solutions and business development. After serving as a senior consultant at Crestone Wealth Management, she also served as group strategy director at Challenger Group. Jane has particular expertise in the asset management sector and a demonstrated track record of creating successful companies, according to Stallvik.

She has a strong grasp of how sustainable investment is changing client demands and shares our commitment to placing the customer at the center of strategy and solutions. I’m looking forward to working with Jane to strengthen and expand our client investment solutions and drive the expansion of our worldwide business footprint. To prepare for the next stage of its development, Redwheel changed its name from RWC Partners at the beginning of this year. Its customer assets were $20.4 billion (£17.5 billion) at the end of June, down from $23.9 billion in January. Along with the hires from Abrdn, it also added Olivia Seddon-Daines, director of ESG at Somerset Capital Management, and Sunita Patel, head of marketing at M&G Investments. Another employee from Abrdn has been hired by Redwheel to serve as its new head of business development. After Dan Mannix left the company in 2021, Tord Stallvik ascended to the position of CEO, and Jane Nicholls (seen) will succeed him. She will work out of Redwheel’s London office, where she will assist in advancing the company’s strategic business initiatives and join Stallvik on the executive committee.
