Ontario, Canada (CU)_ Canada-based Servpro Industries ULC revealed its collaboration with the Canadian Association of Insurance Women (CAIW) on the occasion of International Women’s Day, as part of a broader commitment to honoring and respecting women.

Kyle Urech, field consultant manager of Servpro Industries (Canada) ULC, expressed optimism over the partnership. He said, “Due to our close alignment with the insurance industry and its professionals, as well as Canadian SERVPRO franchise owners’ deep interest in the success of women throughout our organization, we thought this partnership was a natural fit”. He added, “We share the same goals as the CAIW – educating consumers on how they can protect their investments and training and developing women to lead, specifically within our independently owned and operated franchises.”

According to Urech, while many people believe that fire and water repair and cleaning are predominantly male-staffed professions, approximately one-third of all independently owned and run franchises in Canada are owned by women. CAIW and SERVPRO both advocate for women’s empowerment via professionalism and training. CAIW’s participation in charitable organizations such as Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC) demonstrates its continued dedication to women’s interests.

Following the collaboration, SERVPRO will become a national platinum sponsor of the organization, assisting in the organization’s aims and efforts and its 55th annual conference which will be held in June in Edmonton, Alberta. Urech said, “When women are successful, SERVPRO franchises are successful. Add that to the mission of CAIW, as well as the organizations they support, and we are privileged to be mentioned along with them to highlight the importance of women’s advocacy across Canada.”
