According to Shilpa Shetty’s statement, having a healthy diet depends not only on what and when you eat, but also on how properly you chew your food. She cited the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, which stated that properly chewing food can help people consume 12 percent less calories.

Shilpa Shetty also gave some great ideas regarding the importance of eating with thankfulness. Her post read, “Eating right isn’t just about eating healthy food or consuming food in moderation. It also includes when, what, and how you eat. The more you patiently chew every morsel, the easier it is to digest. Moreover, chewing food more thoroughly also increases blood flow to the stomach and gut”. She captioned the post as, “Relish the food you eat with gratitude, and your body will thank you. After all, the food you put into your system and the way you do so reflects on the outside. You are what (and how) you eat”.
