Singapore (Commonwealth Union)_ The Star Alliance member confirms that even more A350s will soon be winging their way to the city.

West Australian connections of Singapore Airlines are set for a welcome boost this week when a fourth flight from Perth to Singapore takes wing between the cities on 24th November.

The latest arrival, unlike the existing trio of Boeing 787s, sees an Airbus A350 enter the mix, with each of its 40 regional business class seats delivering lie-flat comfort for the sub six-hour hop.

The additional service moves to daily from the end of March, initially departing just four times a week.

The schedule from 24th November, 2023 is as follows:

  • SQ213 from Singapore to Perth departs every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 7:20am, arriving into Perth at 12:35pm.
  • On the return, SQ226 will bid farewell to Perth at 1:50pm those same four days, touching down into Changi at 7:10pm.

Come 31st March, 2024, that will change to daily flights on the following:

  • SQ213 from Singapore to Perth will see wheels up at 7:15am, with wheels down at 12:25pm.
  • SQ226 will lift off from Singapore at 1:40pm, arriving at 7:10pm.

On top of that, from 31st March, soon-to-be daily departure, SQ223/SQ214 will switch from a Boeing 787 to an Airbus A350 resulting in four additional business class seats on each flight.

2024 a year of growth

Singapore Airlines, not resting on its laurels after a stellar 2023 that has seen additional Australian flights and boosted capacity, is already mapping out updates for the year ahead.

Melbourne will see the introduction of a fifth daily flight from 26th May (also on an Airbus A350), while Sydney welcomes a fifth daily flight on the Boeing 777 from 27th October.

Darwin’s five-times-weekly Boeing 737 MAX connection not to be left in the cold, steps up to daily from 31st March, taking the city’s connections back to pre-pandemic times also.

In other good news for Perth, an all-new SilverKris lounge is primed to unlock its doors in early 2024 – and it’s a change that can’t come soon enough.

The shift will result in more than twice as much room for Singapore-bound flyers, with seating for some 140 passengers, moving out of its present cramped quarters and into the space that was formerly home to the Qantas International Business lounge.
