Mumbai (Commonwealth Union)_ Sonam Kapoor had the privilege of representing India at the prestigious UK-India Week 2023. The renowned actress was invited by Rishi Sunak, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, to attend a reception held at 10 Downing Street, the official residence and office of the UK Prime Minister. Sonam looked absolutely stunning for the occasion, wearing a custom pastel green saree designed by renowned couturier Rohit Bal. The saree was complemented by a white cape adorned with vibrant and lively floral prints.
Sonam Kapoor expressed her delight in an Instagram post, stating, “Representing Rohit Bal for the reception at 10 Downing Street to celebrate UK-India week. What a beautiful day, and so happy to have worn a saree in the gorgeous London summer.” Her styling for the event was done by her frequent partner and sister, Rhea Kapoor, along with Manisha Melwani. Sonam’s mother, Sunita Kapoor, responded to the post with heart emojis, while her husband, Anand Ahuja, expressed his admiration with “Wild” and heart-eye emojis.
Accompanying Sonam Kapoor Ahuja to the event was her “handsomest date,” none other than her husband and entrepreneur, Anand Ahuja. Later in the day, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja met Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Rhea Kapoor, and husband Karan Boolani, and the group joined for a meal at London’s Mimi Mei Fair. Rhea Kapoor shared pictures from their dinner on Instagram Stories, and Sonam Kapoor posted a picture-perfect moment of the entire group. Sonam captioned the post, “With the crew Kareena Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor.” It’s worth mentioning that Kareena Kapoor will be starring in Rhea Kapoor’s film “The Crew” along with Tabu and Kriti Sanon.
