UK (Commonwealth Union)_ The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) has unveiled new funding for its Game Changers initiative, aimed at catalyzing positive social impact and community development through sports and shared Commonwealth values. Introduced in July 2020, the initiative focuses on smaller projects contributing to a broader vision of social change through sport. Commonwealth Games Associations (CGAs) are eligible for this funding, with an emphasis on projects supporting athletes advocating for causes they believe in, under the theme ‘Athletes Voice.’ The initiative has already supported diverse projects, including providing clean water in Sri Lanka and establishing a Basketball Art School in Namibia, impacting 784 learners and empowering women and youth leaders.
