GLOBAL  – The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, are analyzing the regulatory framework for agreements between Russia and the United States in the field of science and education “with a view to their termination or suspension”.

Izvestia writes about this, referring to the government’s response to a request from a deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Sergey Obukhov. The Ministry of Education and Science indicated that such work is indeed being carried out, but the documents on it are in closed access.

It’s worth reminding that on May 24, Minister of Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov said that Russia would develop its own system of higher education. The Bologna system is planned to be abandoned. On May 25, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said that the issue of the country’s withdrawal from the Bologna system of education needs to be considered as soon as possible, and suggested that the deputies discuss this topic and involve Falkov in the discussion. Volodin suggested holding a discussion in early June.
