The Wheel of Fortune spins back After 22 years!

Wheel of Fortune the iconic game show which was hugely popular and was aired on UK television between 1988 and 2001 is set to return after 22 years. 

Graham Norton, 60, has been revealed as the new host, and will follow in the footsteps of Nicky Campbell, Bradley Walsh, John Leslie and Paul Hendy, in hosting the iconic show Wheel of Fortune when makes a comeback with 8 brand new episodes. It will be centred once again around a giant carnival wheel as contestants spin to win a life-changing cash prize.   Irish television host Graham has stated that he is going back to his early career roots, when he confirmed that he will front the return when it comes to ITV1 and ITVX in 2024.

The show, which is based on the successful global brand will be hosted by BAFTA award winner, and produced by Whisper North, which is a part of the Sony Pictures Television group.  The 8 part run will include two celebrity specials, and fans will be thrilled that the show will be hitting the screens again next year.

The pressure is on as contestants could lose everything at the spin of a wheel, and the contestants’ entire winnings could be wiped out along with ‘bankrupts’ and ‘lose a turn’.   Only one lucky contestant will get a chance in this thrilling game of skill and luck, to add big money to their cash pot to take home when the turn of the wheel secures a cash value before the contestants pick a letter to help them solve the puzzle.  The Head of Entertainment Commissioning at ITV, Katie Rawcliffe said they were thrilled to have the much-loved Graham Norton bringing this iconic game show to their viewers.
