Three more Brisbane schools caught up in another outbreak!

 positive to COVID-19 and is asking anyone who attended the school last week to isolate at home until further notice from Queensland Health. Parents of children who attend Brisbane Girls Grammar have also been advised that families should isolate.

In an email to parents, Principal Jacinda Euler said a parent who has tested positive attended a school Open Day She stated “Unfortunately, I do not have any more specific information at this time and expect more details to be provided tomorrow,”. Students, staff and parents are being asked to stay home until further advice from authorities.

St Peters Lutheran College at Indooroopilly has also been identified by Queensland Health as a potential COVID-19 exposure site and all members of the school community have been asked to isolate at home until further notice.

“Queensland Health will be conducting a risk assessment of the situation and will then advise a course of action,” College Head Tim Kotzur said in an email to parents. The school is close to Indooroopilly High School where a 17-year-old student and her family have tested positive with the Delta variant, prompting the three-day lockdown.

That school has this evening advised parents there are three confirmed cases in the school community, with the students attending while infectious this Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.    

It is unclear if that figure includes the 17-year-old girl and any siblings. All students and staff are considered close contacts and must quarantine at home for 14 days. Their families are considered secondary contacts but must also quarantine for two weeks, with students to make every effort to separate from them at home.
