Tel Aviv, Israel (CU)_ Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammed Javed Zarif stated yesterday that “Israeli agent-provocateurs [in Iraq] are plotting attacks against Americans” in a bid to provoke an Iran-US war based on false justifications.

On Thursday (31st Dec) he accused President Donald Trump of orchestrating the “pretext for war” after Trump blamed Iran for a rocket strike carried out against the US Embassy in Baghdad on the 20th of December.

Zarif tweeted “Be careful of a trap, any fireworks will backfire badly, particularly against your same BFFs.”

Moreover, Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps., Hossein Salmani added that the military is ready to respond to any “action the enemy takes”, a day prior to the first anniversary of the drone strike carried out by the US, which killed Iran’s top commander Qassem Soleimani in January last year.
