On her very first day at Harvard Business School, Ms. Biswas met the Pakistani girl. By the conclusion of the first semester, the Pakistani girl became one of her best friends at university. According to Ms. Biswas, her early education was limited to history books, cricket, and the media due to her upbringing in a tiny Indian town. She noted that perceptions change as people engage with others across boundaries.

Ms. Biswas’s post about her Pakistani friendship read, “Over multiple chais, biryanis, financial models and case study preps, we got to know each other. Her stories of growing up in a conversative Pakistani backdrop, but blessed with supportive parents who gave her and her younger sister the courage to break the norms and chase their dreams, resonated with me. Her stories of fearless ambitions and bold choices inspired me”.

The LinkedIn post garnered more than 43,000 likes, over 1,700 comments, and several hundred shares. In response to the post, a user commented, “Such a lovely message”. It depends totally on us which one we wanna show to society…great going. All the best.”
