Mumbai, India (CU)_ In the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) examination 2021, a girl student from Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, battled all odds and ranked third in the district with 98.06 percent. According to Aisha Bibi’s parents, MIE Higher Secondary School was responsible for her accomplishment since they supported the students with free books and study materials, guaranteeing that the pandemic lockdown and limitations did not interfere with their studies.

While addressing the media, Aisha’s father Gulam Rasul spoke about his financial hardships and his daughter’s hard work, despite the lack of required facilities. He said, “I belong to a very poor family, and despite our lack of necessary amenities, we have tried our best to educate our daughter to give her whatever she wants. Despite inadequate power supply and other facilities in my village Amroh, she managed to study well. When COVID-19 lockdown was implemented students were worried about getting a proper education. However, the school kept supporting us and we were provided with free books and study material.”

He also thanked the academy for their help. He said, “Along with our hard work, the major help is being done by this academy because they do not charge fees from the children belonging to economically weaker sections. I am very thankful for them”. In the meantime, there are also other students who have done well in their tests. A student named Nafisa Qureshi said, “I got 492 marks in this institute accruing the 4th position in Jammu prominence. I am very happy”.
