According to HIMSS, Apollo Hospitals has attained Stage 6 accreditations for three HIMSS digital maturity models namely, the Digital Imaging Adoption Model (DIAM), the Outpatient Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (O-EMRAM), and the Infrastructure Adoption Model (INFRAM).
According to business sources, the hospital became the world’s second healthcare provider to achieve Stage 6 DIAM accreditation, the first being a Florida hospital. Apollo Hospitals runs more than 70 private hospitals with over 12,000 beds throughout Asia. According to the hospital, the serious scarcity of healthcare delivery infrastructure worldwide could be addressed with the simple solution of implementing effective technology for smooth healthcare delivery.
According to the press release from the hospital, during the DIAM validation, Apollo Hospitals was lauded for its use of biomarkers, molecular imaging, and mapping software. It also exhibited excellence in utilizing graphs and dashboards to understand and manipulate data. During its O-EMRAM evaluation, the patient portal of the hospital was deemed one of the greatest examples of patient communication. Its patient app offers a variety of services, such as payment choices, appointment scheduling, health monitoring, and device integration.
Further, Apollo’s hospital information system was considered user-friendly and intuitive. The reviewers also discovered that the firm had excellent device integrations for monitoring vital signs. In addition, Apollo Hospitals reported no unscheduled downtime over the last five years; HIMSS stated that this illustrates their commitment to IT security. In addition, Apollo Hospitals stated that it underwent the HIMSS digital maturity evaluations, which offered a framework to guarantee that its digital backbone is of the highest quality and in line with worldwide best practices.
