Africa (Commonwealth Union) _ The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called its sweep of the legislative by-elections conducted last Saturday in twelve states an overwhelming vote of confidence in President Bola Tinubu‘s administration and his Renewed Hope Agenda. In a Sunday release, the ruling party, signed by its National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka, thanked Nigerians for what they viewed as a “decisive endorsement” of Tinubu’s leadership and the government’s ongoing reforms.

According to the APC, the result is a growing perception by individuals that the government is building a solid platform for economic renewal and overall national transformation. “This win is another clear vindication of President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its Renewed Hope Agenda, designed to deliver, and now continuously delivering, transformation of our country’s economy and other areas of our country life,” Morka stated.

The party hailed its victorious candidates, charging them to reciprocate the trust of their people by promoting legislation with concrete dividends at the grassroots. The statement further highlighted the victory as the first major electoral milestone under National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda’s leadership, hailing it as “a strong pointer to greater things to come.”

Morka credited the combined efforts of Progressive governors, party loyalists, and their mobilizers whose mobilization maintained wide acceptance at the polls. He also extended commendations to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for being capable of organizing the elections successfully and commended security agencies for their vigilance in maintaining relative calm, despite sporadic cases of electoral violence and intimidation of voters in some areas.

Enhancing its appreciation, the APC appealed to Nigerians to keep supporting the party and the President, insisting that the government is on the right path to sustainable prosperity. “Our sincerest appreciation still resides with the Nigerian people, and we appeal to all Nigerians to keep their support for our great party and Mr President as he continues on a clear and consistent path of prosperity for this and generations yet unborn,” added the statement.

APC’s by-election wins are not just political validation but also proof of its leadership status in the country at a crucial time. The party is sure that with Tinubu as its leader, Nigeria is squarely on the road to economic renewal and lasting stability.
