A section of a human finger was found inside an ice cream cone that a doctor ordered online from an establishment in Mumbai on Wednesday, according to reports. The 26-year-old man approached Malad police station to complain about making the troubling discovery. The pursuer in the case, a 26-year-old doctor with MBBS qualification who resides in Malad West, had ordered a butterscotch ice-cream cone from Yummo company, news agency PTI mentioned a police officer as saying. The Mumbai occupant’s anticipation twisted to disgust when he unpacked the sweet treat and found a detached human finger in it. While consuming the ice cream after lunch, he found a half-an-inch-long piece of flesh attached to a nail in the ice cream, the Mumbai Police officer said.

The man, who is following his post-graduate studies, took up the matter and lodged a complaint with the ice cream firm on its Instagram page, he said. Since there was no suitable reply from the company, the complainant put the piece of flesh in an ice container and advanced to the Malad police station, the official said. A First Information Report (FIR) has been recorded against Yummo Ice Creams based on the complaint to Malad police. The detached digit has been referred for forensic analysis. The supposed incident in Mumbai flashed a wave of responses among social media users, extending from shock to repulsion. NDTV recognized the doctor as Mumbai-based Orlem Brandon Serrao.

I had ordered 3 ice cream cones from an app from the Yummo brand. After consuming half of it, I sensed a solid piece in my mouth. I spat it out to check what it was, Serrao was mentioned as saying by NDTV. I am a doctor so I know what body parts look like. When I cautiously examined it, I observed the nails and fingerprint imprints under it. It bears a resemblance to a thumb. I am shocked, he added.
