Virginia, USA (CU)_ Ashish Venkat, an Indian-American researcher in Virginia, has cautioned the world about a vulnerability known as Spectre that was first discovered in 2018 but is now available to hackers again. He warned that billions of computers and other devices around the world are now at risk to this flaw. Since the discovery of Spectre, the world’s best computer scientists from industry and research have focused on software fixes and hardware defenses. As a result, they were able to secure the most vulnerable points in the speculative execution phase without significantly sacrificing the processing speeds.
