Based on Thales’ proficiency in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cybersecurity, HELIXVIEW is a stationary, small, and lightweight EDS CB C3-compliant scanner that combines X-ray nanotechnology-based electronic scanning with 3D image reconstruction. With this technology implemented at checkpoints, travelers will no longer be required to take out their belongings from their bags. The system is fine-tuned to detect all types of forbidden goods, including explosives, knives, and weapons that have been disassembled and distributed over many luggages.

The technology uses artificial intelligence capabilities to identify and evaluate threats. The system then sends an immediate threat/no threat command for the bag to the operator. This system’s mechanics are basic and motionless and there are no moving components or vibrations. There are no large and heavy pieces that need two persons to remove out of the machine for maintenance. Anything that requires replacement may be done swiftly, effortlessly, and without physical exertion.

Airport security personnel and airlines must be able to ensure accurate and foolproof threat detection, since airport-related problems are as prevalent as ever. Checkpoints necessitate highest levels of security, and thus require more technological requirements and more potent next-generation technology. With its decreased size, weight, and overall footprint, HELIXVIEW will allow airports to optimize the space at their disposal.
