PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania, USA (CWBN)_ Democratic candidate Joe Biden is on the verge of victory, as he pulled ahead of President Donald Trump in the several key swing states, as ballot counting continues.

According to the most recent data, Biden inched past Trump in Pennsylvania by more than 5,000 votes, with 95% of the votes counted.

With its 20 Electoral College votes, President Trump cannot be re-elected if he fails to win the state.

Earlier this morning, the former vice president also took the lead in Georgia, which accounts for 16 Electoral College votes. The state is a traditionally Republican and has not been won by a Democrat since 1992.

The democratic nominee is also ahead of the President in the states of Arizona and Nevada, while Trump continues to lead in the state of North Carolina.

Even as vote totals show him trailing the Democratic nominee in key battlegrounds, nevertheless, President Trump has offered little indication that he was prepared to concede defeat, as he continues to be bolstered in his stance by those closest to him, including his senior advisers and his adult sons.

Responding to reports on President’s possible refusal to accept defeat, Biden’s presidential campaign spokesperson Andrew Bates said, “…the American people will decide this election. And the United States government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House”.

Meanwhile, it is reported that more US Secret Service agents have been sent to Wilmington, Delaware, in anticipation of a potential Joe Biden’s presidential win, while new restricted “national defense airspace” has been put in place over the former vice president’s home.

According to the FAA, airspace has also been temporarily restricted over the nearby Chase Center, where the stage is set for a possible Biden victory speech – should he ultimately win the presidential election.

According to CWBN projections, Joe Biden has claimed 253 Electoral College Votes thus far, to President Trump’s 216.
