The new brand was supported by True North and Bupa, and the brand name was chosen after a poll of modern millennials and middle-aged clients who were the current clients or first-time users of the health insurance policies of the company.
Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing of Niva Bupa, Nimish Agrawal, expressed delight over the new brand identity. He also assured that the new brand name will not affect the company’s current operations as well as its customers in any way. He said, “Our name has changed from Max Bupa Health Insurance Company Limited to Niva Bupa Health Insurance Company Limited effective 5 July 2021. As next steps, we will closely work with our partners and various stakeholders to complete our brand transition by year-end. It will be reflected in all our customer and partner-facing assets henceforth. Our business fundamentals remain unchanged, and there will be no impact of this transition on our customers and partners.”
To provide better healthcare policies, the health insurer recently collaborated with Axis Bank, India’s third leading private sector bank. Max Bupa stated in a statement that it would offer security and fixed benefit plans and customised versions to the bank’s customers.
