Mumbai, India (CWBN)_ In an attempt to attract the attention of Indian buyers, the Nissan Magnite subcompact SUV was officially introduced in India last month at a special opening price of INR 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Following the launch, Nissan India was able to achieve its target as the Japanese carmaker got orders for more than 15,000 bookings for the subcompact SUV in just 15 days after it was introduced in the Indian market. It was informed that the opening price of the vehicle will only be valid until December 31, 2020 and customers can utilize the offer before the due date. After its official launch in India, the carmaker has earned 1,50,000 queries for its new SUV.

In addition, Nissan India also registered the lowest-in-class maintenance costs for the Magnite SUV for 50,000 kms at just 29 paise per km. The carmaker also provides two options of assurance: a 2-year warranty or up to 50,000 km that can be extended for up to 5 years or up to 1 lakh km at a nominal rate. In addition, Nissan has also launched a prepaid maintenance plan known as ‘Nissan Magnite Care’ that provides up to 22 percent savings for its customers. The scheme will be applicable for two to five years, and the package is available in two variants, Gold & Silver, at all Nissan service networks nationwide.

Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, Rakesh Srivastava, said, “Nissan as a customer-centric brand, understands the importance of providing unique value-added services to its discerning Indian customers like the online service booking, the online service calculator and a completely enhanced digital ecosystem. The all-new Nissan Magnite comes with over 20 best-in-class and first-in-class features with the Nissan Promise of Lowest cost of maintenance.”

The first sub-compact SUV Magnite from Nissan is available in four trim levels: XE, XL, XV and XV Premium. The SUV has two petrol engines to choose from: a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated motor and a 1.0-liter turbo petrol unit. Around 71 bhp and 96 Nm of torque are generated by the naturally aspirated engine, while the turbo-petrol unit generates power figures of 99 bhp and 160 Nm. As standard, both engines are mated to a 5-speed gearbox along with an optional automatic CVT assembly. At 152 Nm, the turbo-petrol engine with a CVT gearbox produces slightly less torque.
