Pakistan extends its COVID immunization campaign in response to Omicron worries

Islamabad, Pakistan (CU)_ According to officials, in response to concern about the Omicron strain, Pakistan’s government is ramping up COVID-19 immunization campaign and broadening the requirements for vaccine booster doses. The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), which is in charge of the country’s COVID-19 response operations, convened a meeting in the capital Islamabad last week to discuss measures to stop the virus from spreading.
