Accordingly, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement, noting that Israel’s actions break international laws and go against the rules of the United Nations. The ministers also mentioned that countries must respect each other’s borders and work out problems through peaceful talks, not violence. During a speech in Pakistan’s National Assembly, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif lauded the long-standing friendship between Iran and Pakistan, which have maintained friendly ties for hundreds of years. He reaffirmed that Pakistan stands with Iran and will support it on global platforms to defend its rights. Asif also highlighted that it is time for the Muslim world to unite. He called on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to meet quickly and come up with a shared plan to respond to Israel.

According to Asif, the Muslim countries need to act together, or they might also come under attack in the future. “Israel has targeted Iran, Yemen, and Palestine,” he warned. “If Muslim countries stay silent, they will be next.” Asif also noted that people in the West are protesting against Israel’s actions, while many Muslim countries are remaining silent. He noted that people in non-Muslim countries are now speaking out more than those in Muslim countries. Additionally, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also strongly spoke against Israel’s military actions. He called them a “clear violation” of Iran’s borders and reaffirmed Pakistan’s support to the people of Iran. He also expressed his condolences for the lives lost in the attacks.

Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had also condemned the Israeli airstrikes. Taking to social media, he called the attacks “unprovoked” and “very dangerous.” He said that these actions could cause serious problems in an already unstable area. Furthermore, he asked the international community and the UN to take quick actions to stop the situation from getting worse. Additionally, President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan also spoke out against Israel. In his message, he noted that the Israeli strikes ignored Iran’s rights and broke international law. He conveyed his sympathy to the Iranian people and requested the world and the UN to hold Israel accountable. Reports say that Israel targeted military and nuclear areas in Iran. Several top Iranian officers, including members of the Revolutionary Guards, lost their lives as a result. Iran’s ambassador to the UN reported that 78 people died and over 320 were injured.
In response, Iran fired many missiles back at Israel the next night. This action greatly raised tensions in the region. The Israeli government stated that missiles were launched at Tel Aviv and other major cities. People across the country heard warning sirens and were asked to take shelter. While the Israeli government successfully stopped many of the missiles, some managed to pass through and inflict damage. These back-and-forth attacks have led to increased fears of a larger conflict and raised concerns worldwide. As a result, many now worry that things could get much worse if no action is taken to calm the situation.
