PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania, USA (CWBN)_Philadelphia police said on Friday (Nov 6), that they are investigating an alleged plot to attack the Pennsylvania Convention Center where votes from the 2020 US presidential election are being counted.

It has been reported that the local police received a tip about an armed group driving up from Virginia in a Hummer to unleash an attack on the Convention Center.

At least one suspect was arrested and police have also seized a weapon as well as the Hummer.

Earlier on Thursday, both Democratic and Republican supporters held rallies in Philadelphia as staffers counted mail-in ballots which could decide Philadelphia’s 20 Electoral College votes, which have become crucial to this election. Trump supporters carried signs with slogans such as “Vote stops on Election Day” and “Sorry, polls are closed”, while Biden supporters danced to music behind a barricade across the street.

Meanwhile, the US Postal Service (USPS) reported that about 1,700 ballots had been identified at processing facilities in Pennsylvania during two sweeps on Thursday, and were being delivered to election officials. The ballots must be received by Friday evening in order to be counted.
