There have been some new changes to the way people are looking at building spaces. A lot of new young ideas are coming through and it looks promising. With the growing economies and growing populations the need for space is arising.

The younger generation has taken travelling seriously and with this need growing countries are beginning to cater to a younger travel sector also known as a budget sector where they want to the best possible deal for the best possible price.

Now hotels are usually not in the price range of these travelers as they do not spend too much time in the hotel room therefore they do not want to spend too much money on a hotel room. The space available for building isn’t really a hotel space. This where shipping containers come in

In London there has been a five year permission given by the council in Haggerston to build in shipping containers. The beauty of this is these containers can be turned into movable hotel rooms. Which means they can be moved when there is a location is in need and charged accordingly.

The new Snoozebox development, a scheme aimed at “millennials, cost conscious business professionals and tourists”, will made out of prefabricated containers with an outdoor terrace. The Snoozebox is set to be put together on land on Ormsby and Pearson Streets, near Randall Cremer primary school, which developers said had welcomed the proposals due to fly tipping problems on the currently vacant land. It will feature 79 office units and 44 hotel rooms, with 10 per cent of the office units classified as ‘affordable’ with rates set at 60 per cent of local market rent.
