Zambia and Mozambique minor hotels get dynamic heads

These dynamic leaders are expected to elevate guest experiences and culinary offerings to new heights.

In Zambia, The Royal Livingstone Victoria Falls Zambia Hotel by Anantara welcomes Longa Mulikelela as its new Hotel Manager. With nearly 20 years of experience and prestigious qualifications from institutions like Cornell University, Mulikelela is poised to bring exceptional leadership to the property. He has held senior roles at top hotels across Africa and is known for his expertise in hotel operations, revenue management, and CSR projects.

Beatrice Ellis, a South African native, takes on the role of Hotel Manager at Avani Victoria Falls Resort. Renowned for her customer-centric approach and operational brilliance, Ellis has an impressive career spanning luxury hotels worldwide, including Anantara Dhigu Maldives and the Prince of Wales Hotel in the UK. Her innovative initiatives, such as launching a sustainable garden for fresh produce, have significantly enhanced guest experiences.

Chef Tuwan Halikeen Mohamed joins Avani Victoria Falls Resort as Executive Chef. With over 23 years of culinary excellence from prestigious hotels like Burj Al Arab in Dubai and One&Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives, Chef Tuwan brings a fresh perspective to the resort’s dining offerings. He emphasizes the use of locally sourced ingredients and contemporary culinary techniques to create extraordinary dining experiences.

In Mozambique, Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort welcomes Christian Sanchez as its new General Manager. With a diverse background spanning Senegal, Portugal, and Spain, Sanchez is a seasoned hospitality professional with a rich multicultural perspective. His career highlights include managing boutique hotels and prestigious brands like Accor, Melia, and Hilton. Sanchez’s exceptional leadership is expected to enhance the luxurious guest experience at Anantara Bazaruto.
